Aircraft parked on an airport apron — overview shot

Aircraft Storage & Preservation

One of the world's most favorable climates for long-term aircraft storage: a 300-hectare dedicated airport in southern Algeria, 100 parking slots, dry Saharan environment that naturally protects against corrosion.

Storage

Our approach to «Storage»

AéroNéo Algeria's planned storage infrastructure rests on a rare natural asset and an ambitious industrial sizing. Our dedicated site, located in southern Algeria, spans 300 hectares and will host 100 parking slots complemented by 3 operations hangars, currently in the airport-concession application stage.

But our chief asset is neither the land nor the hangars: it is the climate. Southern Algeria — dry Saharan climate, low humidity, high sunshine, few freeze/thaw cycles and no aggressive salinity — ranks among the world's most favorable natural environments for long-term aircraft preservation. This is precisely what made Mojave, Tucson and Victorville (California, Arizona) the global capitals of aircraft storage. AéroNéo will offer the same natural advantage, at Europe's gateway and Africa's core.

Storing an aircraft with AéroNéo also means bringing it close to all our other expertise: once operational, an aircraft entering storage can naturally move to maintenance, cargo conversion or, at end-of-life, recovery — without prestar repositioning.

Anti-corrosion Saharan climate

Southern Algeria provides a dry, sunny climate with low humidity and no freeze/thaw cycles — exactly what made Mojave, Tucson and Victorville (California, Arizona) the world's capitals of aircraft storage. A natural protection against corrosion, at Europe's doorstep.

Short & long term

Parking solutions tailored to every need, from seasonal grounding to multi-year preservation, with airframe, engines and systems preservation following OEM recommendations.

24/7 secure site

Enclosed and permanently monitored airport: access control, on-site security, CCTV, traceability of every operation on each aircraft throughout its stay.

Service continuity

Direct switch to maintenance, P2F conversion or Green Recycling without repositioning — a major operational and economic advantage for African, Mediterranean and European operators.

Method

From parking to return to service

  1. Step 1

    1. Preparation & induction

Aircraft reception, contradictory state report, opening of the stay file, execution of the induction program (initial preservation).

  2. Step 2

    2. Scheduled preservation

Application of preservation cycles based on planned duration: periodic ground runs, gear rotation, sealing and corrosion checks.

  3. Step 3

    3. Recurrent inspections

Periodic inspections of the aircraft state and regular reporting to the owner with photos and key indicators.

  4. Step 4

    4. Exit from storage

Return-to-service program with required reactivation work, coordinated with AéroNéo's MRO program if needed.
